Katherine is the founder at Sainty Law. Katherine is a corporate and commercial lawyer who is an expert in digital, privacy, technology and media law.
Katherine has had significant experience advising clients from major technology, online and media companies as well as Government departments and agencies. Katherine specialises in complex technology and data advice advising clients across all aspects of their businesses, from back-end system change to the use of technology and data to transform interaction with customers. One of Katherine’s key strengths and areas of focus, in the highly regulated and fast changing technology and media industries, is her knowledge and ability to interpret legislation and its interaction with other laws and policies.
Katherine holds a Master of Laws and Bachelor of Commerce, Accounting and Finance. She is the Chair of the Law Council of Australia Media and Communications committee, a Director of the International Association of Privacy Professionals ANZ and a member of the Privacy and Communications Committee of the Law Society of NSW. Katherine was a Director of the Sydney Film Festival from 2007-2011 and an advisor for the Network Insight Institute from 2007-2011.
Katherine is a frequently commentator on current commercial and regulatory issues, most recently on the digital industries, data protection and cyber resilience issues.
